Design Engineer - We are looking for an exceptional Design Engineer to join this leading medical devices company in the Sussex area. The Design Engineer will take a key role within the organisation, immediately becoming heavily involved in a range of design, specification and development activities within a dedicated design team.

Design Engineer - key responsibilities and duties:

• Specification, design and development of mechanical parts used in medical instruments
• Liaise closely with development teams to create high quality yet robust products.
• Low cost, high volume designs
• Providing technical development leadership across the business
• Assisting the product development team to maintain and enhance their reputation for the delivery of outstanding products

Design Engineer - qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree qualification in a relevant technical / scientific discipline
• Proven experience in developing low cost products for high volume manufacturing
• Comprehensive experience of designing and developing medical diagnostic products or medical devices
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership abilities
• High level of numeracy
• Familiarity with Solidworks or other 3D CAD tools
