Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer: We are currently looking for a Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer to join this leading medical devices company in the Glasgow area. The Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer will assume responsibility for the design and development of various new products and processes to ensure the ongoing and future success of this highly reputable medical devices business.

Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer - key responsibilities:

• Design, verification and validation of products in line with design control procedures
• Create and generate engineering drawings (solidworks experience preferable)
• Risk analysis work including FMEA
• Process and tooling development
• Liaise with a range of internal staff and external personnel such as customers, suppliers and contractors
• Selection of materials

Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer - qualifications, skills and experience:

• Ideally candidates will have some experience in the medical devices sector
• Candidates with significant experience in a product development environment within other industry sectors are also encouraged to apply
• Solid educational background with a degree level qualification in an engineering, mechanical, produce design related discipline
• Process engineering experience and a knowledge of lean 6 sigma methodologies would be extremely beneficial
