Shift Technician: This leading global business is currently looking for a Shift Technician to take overall responsibility on shift for the operational engineering effectiveness of product machinery in designated areas. The Shift Technician will take a critical role from the outset, working as part of a team driven by areas of measurement such as Production line effectiveness, number of improvements implemented and machine efficiency.

Shift Technician - key responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the operational engineering effectiveness of production machinery in a designated area
• Utilising good engineering practice and effective application of the maintenance system, ensure that expectations are met and exceeded
• Ensure compliance with Quality procedures, maintenance systems and procedures including Health and Safety and Quality Assurance
• Attend and contribute regular maintenance review meetings to highlight changes in previously agreed plans
• Agree preventative maintenance plans, routine remedial action etc..

Shift Technician - qualifications and experience:

• Experience in dealing with staff at all levels of expertise and the ability to effectively communicate information
• Practical experience in the operation and maintenance of large multi-purpose facilities, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector
• Ideally apprentice trained in engineering with a HNC in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering
• A firm understanding of related controls and instrumentation systems
• Highly self-motivated with good leadership qualities
